Well, here’s what I was doing today.  You leave this guy alone for just 2 minutes and THIS happens.  So, I was torn between getting mad and cracking up when I saw him.  Lucky for him I saw enough comedy to go back and get the camera.  And yes, I know… I do sound like a dweeb when I speak to the dog. Heh, anyway…

In case you may have wondered, I was able to cut a section of grass from a discreet location and fit it nicely in the hole.  I expect it to last about 8 hours before I forget and then find it strewn onto the sidewalk.  Uuuughh.

I just snapped this picture of Toby on our way to pick up Kira at Gymnastics. I was totally cracking up and trying not to wreck while using my camera phone.

Kira’s gymnastics facility, Gym Ventures, was asked by Fox6’s San Diego Living to bring their mobile gym bus for a feature about kids excersizing in the spirit of the Olympics.  The Team, Pre-Team which Kira is on, and select recreational gym kids were asked to participate in the segment.  I drove her to the Fox6 studio where we waited from about 8am until 9:40am when the segment aired live.  We were originally scheduled for 8:30, then 9, then 9:40.  Oh well, that’s show biz I guess.

The parents got escorted to the Green Room where we could watch on a television.  It wasn’t super impressive, but alltogether a fun experience for me.  Kira, went around the back of the building where they shoot outside on a parking lot set.  From what I could see it was a pretty cool setup.  So without further adieu, here’s the segment.  You’ll want to look at the Recent Videos box in the upper right of the website to find the video.  Kira is the super cute one performing flawless gymnastic maneuvers!  You can’t miss her.

I just saw a neighbor at Jamba Juice whom I don’t speak to often.  He is a great person and has a nice family, we just don’t engage much.  Anyway in past conversations I have noted his tenacity on the subject of party noise and the lengths that he has gone through to deal with it.  Leaving the subject of party noise for another post, I found that this is the first thing I could think of to speak to him about when we started our last conversation.  It doesn’t seem like a big deal but, here’s the thing.  I don’t really enjoy talking to him about that because I hear the same stories over again.  So, why did I bring it up?  Here’s a few of my thoughts: Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday I had the opportunity to experience my first earthquake! Technically I think I felt a tremor in the early morning hours last year, but it was barely noticeable - sort of like the rumble (not the sound) of a large truck driving by rattling things on the dresser.  Yesterday’s was quite different.  Although the epicenter was just outside of LA, I experienced a sustained ‘wobble’ for about 8 or 10 seconds almost 100 miles away. Here is the first video of our new puppy, Toby, learning about a football.  He surprised the kids in the garage by barking at the ball when he got spooked by the way it moved.  We caught a little bit on the our camera so that you could see his personality.  It just oozes cuteness.
